Unlike regular paint drawing, clay painting mixes natural original Yixing clay as pigment. The finished patterns carry natural texture. No chemical paint is used, making the teapot safe and eco-friendly. However, there are certain limitations on color tones.

Each teapot is fully handcrafted by Master Zhang Ye, inheritor of traditional Yixing clay painting (Ni Hui) craft, under Zhang Zhiqing Studio.
Zhang Zhiqing, widely known as the "Father of Modern Zisha Clay Painting", revived this lost imperial decorative art dating back to late Ming Dynasty. Master Zhang Ye learned the craft from her father since childhood, specializing in three-dimensional relief landscape & flower clay painting. Every design is hand-painted on unfired clay body with natural mineral slip, fused permanently after high-temperature firing, no peeling or fading for decades.

Our craftsmen will review the design to confirm whether it can be produced, and arrange production only after mutual confirmation.
All fully handmade works have natural slight shrinkage during firing, slight capacity deviation is inevitable. Custom lead time will be informed during consultation.
The price of the teapot varies depending on the complexity of your custom pattern. If you wish to add gold foil metallic decoration, extra charges will apply.
Zisha products are special and need to be made immediately. The production time is about 120 days. Please understand before purchasing.
